Romans 13:8-14
The devil finds work for idle hands. This saying might very well have been derived from Romans 13:14, which says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Verse 12 says, “Therefore let us cast off the works of the darkness and let us put on the armor of light.” We have work to do in God’s Kingdom. We are His ambassadors, His soldiers, His vessels. We pray so that He can move on this earth. We witness to unbelievers so the Holy Spirit can convict their hearts to righteousness. We walk according to His will so that others can be blessed through us. When we are not doing these things, we are making provision for the flesh to fulfil its lusts. So it’s important, “knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand.” The day means it’s time to get to work. God needs us.

Hey, Welcome to the devotional section of our website. God called everyone to have a personal relationship with Him and that involves reading the bible everyday, figuring God’s plan for your lives. But many times, we don’t know what to read. The bible is so big, it’s hard to find something to read and meditate on. That’s where I come in. My goal is to help other teenagers find scriptures they can read and messages they can meditate on. Life Guide Devotional breaks down the message of the bible and relates it to regular circumstances.
