Ecclesiastes 3:14-22
“So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?” We have a limited time span on earth before we go on to be judged. We can spend our entire life on earth making money and making friends, but that doesn’t help us after death. Solomon here says that we should focus on doing good because it is in our works that we a judged. We are saved by grace, but we have to give an account to God for what we did with our salvation. Here on earth, we may be able to get away with living for ourselves because no man is God and so nobody can judge us. But God will judge the righteous and the wicked. Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there also your heart will be.” We can fix our heart on earth, or we can look beyond and work to store up treasures for ourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. Everyone has treasures. Will yours help you after death?
Welcome To Life Guide Devotional
Hey, Welcome to the devotional section of our website. God called everyone to have a personal relationship with Him and that involves reading the bible everyday, figuring God’s plan for your lives. But many times, we don’t know what to read. The bible is so big, it’s hard to find something to read and meditate on. That’s where I come in. My goal is to help other teenagers find scriptures they can read and messages they can meditate on. Life Guide Devotional breaks down the message of the bible and relates it to regular circumstances. So please, study the Word of God with me as we grow together.
