Micah 6:6-8
How are we being Christians? Are we trying to do things to validate our faith? The people of Israel here were trying to prove their righteousness to God by offering to do actions. They wanted to sacrifice calves or dedicate their children or give money to please God. This is not a message saying not to give, but it’s not the most important thing. It’s all about your heart. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” It’s not what you do that pleases God, it’s your heart. A person who loves God but can’t give a thousand dollar tithes will still receive favour. A youth who deals with other people fairly will be blessed even though he doesn’t fast every week. A girl who values her body is blessed even if she doesn’t wear the long skirt and flowery hat. Our faith is not about following a bunch of rules, but having a heart for God.
Welcome To Life Guide Devotional
Hey, Welcome to the devotional section of our website. God called everyone to have a personal relationship with Him and that involves reading the bible everyday, figuring God’s plan for your lives. But many times, we don’t know what to read. The bible is so big, it’s hard to find something to read and meditate on. That’s where I come in. My goal is to help other teenagers find scriptures they can read and messages they can meditate on. Life Guide Devotional breaks down the message of the bible and relates it to regular circumstances. So please, study the Word of God with me as we grow together.
